The EyeClops Mini-Projector In Practice

The first thing you’ll observe about the EyeClops MiniProjector is it’s size. Designed to be easily portable, this thing is small! Not only is the mini projector portable, but can hook into electronic devices making it as flexible and adaptable as it is easy to use. The Jakks Projector can accomodate a broad range of modern day devices such as DVD players and video game consoles due to it’s audio/video inputs, making it as adaptable as it is portable.

With the ability to point the Jakks EyeClops Mini-Projector at any flat surface on any angle, the EyeClops Mini Projector is aimed at kids over 8 years who want to play their favorite video game on a big screen, or to see their favorite movies from the convenience of their room. When I was a kid I know I’d have found it cool to play video games on the ceiling! The EyeClops Projector system also features onboard speakers.While not theater quality, they are loud enough to be heard throughout the house.

The big weak point of the Jakks Projector however is it’s brightness. All light sources should be fully covered for a good image. The device performs quite poorly in daylight conditions. The contrast will not be that good and the colors faded and washed out when there is too much light..

The EyeClops Mini Projector performs much better when the lights get switched off. Sure you’ll never mistake a Jakks EyeClops Projector stystem for a fully-blown home theater system, but considering the device sells for less than fifty dollars and is designed for children, it would be unreasonable to suggest you are not getting great value at this price.

When you consider that the Jakks EyeClops Mini Projector has a lot that’s cool about it and is selling at an extremely attractive price, some image issues are forgivable. If you go into the purchase, not expecting home theater quality, you will do just fine. Remember it is sold as a child’s toy.

The EyeClops Mini-Projector System is good value and not too expensive for a child’s toy. I recently saw it for sale on Amazon for less than fifty dollars and it is still in the Hot Christmas Toys 2009 list. It’s definitely a great buy, when you consider the coolness and versitility of this toy.
