Also, imagine you are gone on vacation and a pipe bursts, threatening to flood your basement. Your Smart Home immediately shuts off the water to minimize property damage.

There are many benefits to a Smart Home, and as the technology for these modern conveniences becomes more cost effective we will likely see more automation and convenience built standard into today’s homes.

People have harnessed energy from the wind for decades. In the last ten years or so, the use of wind turbines to generate electricity has increased tremendously. It steadily gets more competitive to more convectional energy sources and will definitely play a big part in how we get our energy in the future. There are many reasons for why this will happen and in this article we are going to take a look at what we think is the five most important ones.

Renewable

Wind energy is what we call renewable. This means that there is no way we practically can deplete the energy resources, as there is wind all over the globe. The sun is what ultimately is the source of wind energy and will sustain for many billions of years.

Lastly, we want to talk about the ability to install residential wind turbines. These are of course of smaller scale than commercial, but still can be very beneficial. When there is wind, a small turbine can generate electricity and save them in batteries for times when there is no wind available (such as with a solar battery charger). This works synergistically with residential solar panels and might be able to disconnect an entire housing from the grid or even selling energy back on it!

Many people today are very enthusiastic about solar energy, a power source that is fast gaining popularity as people find ways that they can save money during these hard times. There are many reasons why people are choosing to go for solar energy and break off on the dependence of other energy sources such as power mains generated from water and fossil energy. a) Solar energy is clean energy meaning that it is environmental friendly and does not pollute the environment we live in at all. b) Solar energy is cheap, you will not have to pay monthly bills to the power company anymore if you install it at home. c) Solar panels installed on the roof of the house or at an open space near home will trap solar energy from its rays and convert them to electricity. This is the only source of power that will be stored in the batteries and used to power your home. It simple to install and even simpler to use because there are no movable parts. The only requirement is occasional cleaning of the panels to increase its efficiency.

d) The costs of solar energy equipment and systems is dropping by the day as technology advances, more people choose solar energy systems and new entrants in the manufacturing sector tightening competition to push the prices down.

When you finally choose to buy a generator there are a number of criteria that must be met to ensure you don’t end up waisting your hard earned cash.

More importantly, you’ll end up with a generator that will do the job you need it to.

The following four steps when completed will help you make the right choice.

1. Put some thought into what you want the generator to supply power for. Make a list of all items that you may want switched on at the same time.

This is where you should get an inverter generator. They produce electricity which more closely matches a sine wave which is optimal for delicate pieces of equipment like your laptop.

One way to get around this limitation is to use a UPS between the power supply and the computer. This will clean the energy for you.
